NG Production Pipeline Scrapes & Maintenance Season

Lower 48 natural gas production as measured by the pipeline scrape data has dropped by 1-2 Bcf/d going into the first 2 days of April as compared to March 31.  Production pipeline scrapes could still be revised further upward for gas days April 1st and April 2nd as April 1st marked the first of the month, the first of the quarter, and the first of the summer injection season nominations.

The great majority of the production drop was in Haynesville and in the Northeast.

The Haynesville basin is seeing maintenance occurring on the Gulf Run pipeline at the West-Dale compressor station located in Red River Parish, Louisiana beginning on April 1st.  There is no indication as to how long the Gulf Run pipeline maintenance will last.
April maintenance is having a negative impact on both Northeast and Haynesville natural gas production. The maintenance is currently expected to last until mid-April.  Stay tuned!
