Vulcan Infrastructure Watch: Middle East Updates & Data Center Analysis

Vulcan Infrastructure Watch (IW) has become a critical resource on the Vulcan platform. While IW is designed for periods of instability where infrastructure damage from weather or man-made events is rare, current geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have necessitated continuous monitoring of the region. Vulcan clients can access the latest summaries via the Infrastructure Watch tab located next to Under Construction at the top of the page.

We are conducting daily reviews; however, due to vendor constraints, typical processing cycles are experiencing slight delays. Our tables reflect the most recent satellite views. Based on reports from QatarEnergy and various sources, Ras Laffan has sustained damage. As soon as new imagery is processed, we will provide clients with a visual assessment of the extent of the damage.

Data Center Analysis

On the data center front, we are currently reviewing 2025 builds, analyzing timelines from initial land clearing to structure completion. This analysis will allow us to provide updated online dates using the latest more precise construction timelines.

Early findings show a trend of increasing delays when comparing initial announcement dates to actual startup targets, with 2026 projects showing the most significant shifts.

Looking Ahead

Vulcan clients receive these updates weekly with the ability to drill down by specific project. For the next 30 days, Vulcan IW will be reviewed daily to provide the most current intelligence on regional energy infrastructure.

Additionally, SynMax is developing Strait of Hormuz flow monitoring. We are currently tracking key metrics including vessel crossings, spoofing activity, and stationary vessel counts. While this will sit outside the Vulcan platform, it provides a vital link to our broader energy infrastructure intelligence.
