Vulcan clients can easily generate the following reports to evaluate the current status of data center and generation projects. These insights serve as critical inputs for refining both individual power models and broader macro-market forecasts.

We recently conducted a comprehensive data pull of data center and power project tables categorized by ISO. For the upcoming summer season, we cross-referenced EIA generation expectations with the data center projections provided by our partners at IIR.

Our analysis reveals a significant trend: delays on the data center side are substantial, which is particularly impactful given the high load-factor "baseload" nature of these facilities. On the generation side, the delays are less, the majority are concentrated in solar projects. Because solar typically delivers only 12–25% of its nameplate capacity, these delays have a disproportionately smaller impact on grid reliability compared to the loss of a constant, 24/7 data center load.

In each of our presentations, we provide a sample of delayed data center and power projects, accompanied by a clear description of our visual confirmation. We are in a new world where guessing is no longer necessary. The "ground-truth" provided by Vulcan satellite imaging, combined with our thermal drone capabilities, offers a level of certainty regarding the status of large-scale infrastructure projects that no other information service can provide.
