Natural Gas

Using the latest 12Z GFS Operational and 12Z Euro Ensemble weather forecasts going out to February 3rd, 2025, there is the potential for natural gas production freeze-offs in North Dakota, the Northeast, Oklahoma, Colorado, the Permian, South Texas, Haynesville, and Wyoming.  For the 12Z GFS Operational weather forecast, the total amount in natural gas production freeze-offs went down by 2.0 Bcf compared to yesterday’s 12Z GFS Operational weather forecast.  For the 12Z Euro Ensemble weather forecast, the total amount in natural gas production freeze-offs went up by 6.9 Bcf compared to yesterday’s 12Z Euro Ensemble weather forecast.









Crude Oil

Using the latest 12Z GFS Operational and 12Z Euro Ensemble weather forecasts going out to February 3rd, 2025, there is the potential for crude oil production freeze-offs in North Dakota, the Permian, Oklahoma, South Texas, Wyoming, and Colorado.  For the 12Z GFS Operational weather forecast, the total amount in crude oil production freeze-offs went up by ~492k barrels compared to yesterday’s 12Z GFS Operational weather forecast.  For the 12Z Euro Ensemble weather forecast, the total amount in crude oil production freeze-offs went down by ~167k barrels compared to yesterday’s 12Z Euro Ensemble weather forecast.
