Synmax has intelligence indicating that Energy Transfer has completed the final mainline weld on the Hugh Brinson Pipeline south of Fort Worth, connecting the last two segments of the 400-mile, 42-inch mainline. This 'Golden Weld' would mean the continuous steel path from Waha to Maypearl is now physically complete.
The Golden Weld marks the transition from construction to commissioning. Approximately 10-17 weeks of hydrostatic testing, drying, purging, and line fill remain before commercial service. With the weld achieved in mid-June, an aggressive timeline could see first gas as early as September 2026 — which would be ahead of the Q4 2026 guidance, and well-within our 1 Oct 26 assumption.
