The production location points that witnessed the largest increases were Aethon Hwy 5 (Expansion), the Clear Lake Points, the Kinder Hawk Points, the Magnolia Points, and the Plantation West Points.  Haynesville natural gas production is expected to rebound into Q4 2025 due to higher natural gas pricing, lower pipeline maintenance, and higher NG3 flows.  However, 2026 is now a potentially different story due to lower frac crews in the basin.

Haynesville Frac Crews

Frac crews in Haynesville have fallen significantly over the past several days.

Frac crews have dropped to the extent that the expected increase in Haynesville natural gas production for 2026 is in jeopardy.  Hyperion Production Studio estimates that for Haynesville natural gas production to remain flat, frac crews should be at the 15-crew level.

Haynesville frack crews are currently at 10. Changes in frac crews typically don’t affect production until 3 months later.  The current drop in frac crews could negatively impact Haynesville production in early 2026 if the trend doesn’t quickly reverse and change.
