Schlumberger (SLB)

In its Q3 2026 earnings conference call, SLB revised its outlook from an "upcycle that is starting" to "the cycle has started." However, renewed operational disruptions in the Middle East prompted the company to lower its Q4 2026 projections. SLB characterized the North American market as a "low-growth environment," though it continues to outperform through its ChampionX production chemicals and artificial lift offerings. Meanwhile, producers are strategically directing capital toward production optimization, enhanced recovery, and international exploration initiatives.

The Data Center Solutions division maintained its growth momentum, delivering a 23% sequential revenue increase driven by expanding demand, a broader service scope, and geographic expansion into Asia. Additionally, the company anticipates substantial potential for multifold expansion in Venezuela. Operators are increasingly prioritizing investments in production optimization, recovery enhancement, and asset longevity, whereas U.S. shale producers maintain a short-cycle, capital-disciplined strategy with select major operators seeking international growth.

SLB issued preliminary guidance for 2027, projecting mid-single-digit growth in the Oilfield Services (OFS) market across all operational divisions and basins, alongside potential upside from a recovery in the Middle East.
